OnePlus 5T, the Chinese smartphone maker’s upcoming smartphone, has had a constant presence on the web, be it through leaks or official discussions by the CEO Pete Lau.
Until now we had only seen the render images of the smartphone but this time the handset has appeared in hands-on images.
The images reportedly come from ZDNET.de website (via Phonearena). The webpage states that the publication got the OnePlus 5T smartphone without being asked. The pack only included a cover letter along with the review guide.
It has been mentioned that there was no NDA signed between ZDNET and OnePlus so the publication went ahead and posted the hands-on images on the website.
However, later on, the request of OnePlus, the OnePlus 5T images were taken down.
The images re-confirmed that OnePlus 5T will be featuring a larger 18:9 aspect ratio display like it has been rumored for months. Since the display is bigger and the body frame is similar to OnePlus 5, the fingerprint sensor has moved from front to back. Rest of the design stays the same.
The images showing the spec sheet was also revealed. According to the list, OnePlus 5T will sport a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with a pixel density of 401ppi and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It may run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and get Android 8.0 Oreo later.
